Cupcakes perfect for the Summer! I had seen these a while ago in a cupcake book while browsing the cookbooks in Barnes and Noble (one of my favorite sections of that store…so easy to get lost there…lol) And i never got around to trying them. But since i had some supplies left over from the beach wedding cake, i thought oooo i can finally give it a go!
These are basic chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, with ivory icing and graham cracker crumbs for the “sand” and blue icing for the waves. I just put it on half and half and used a toothpick to “pick up” come of the waves. I wish i had plain white icing, because i think it would have been cool to put some white foam on the waves. But alas, they’re still cute. And i love the little umbrella and mini shell (yes again left over from the beach wedding cake). Gotta love multipurpose desert supplies. Hope everyone is having a safe and happy Summer!

We had SO much fun at our first ever just for kids “Decorate your own Cupcake and Cookie” party for little Miss Sarah’s 6th Birthday! This party was, as you can see, princess themed. There was pink icing, sparkles, and sprinkles everywhere, it was FABULOUS, and the kids loved it! Each little girl got to decorate 2 cupcakes (one chocolate, one vanilla) and 3 princess themed sugar cookies. There were loads of icing colors and edible things to decorate them with. From different colored and shaped sprinkles, to fondant hearts and starts, and even some special edible “Princess” glitter! We also got to make a fun princess cake (see below) and also the white chocolate princess wands you see above the place settings. And a very special thanks to the awesome and super sweet little girls of Kalos street (and the great moms!) for making our first kids party such a blast!
Check out a bunch more pictures on our facebook page album at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=164755&id=17664639606&l=da98df0644
We can’t wait to do our next party so email us if you’re interested! We’ll happily coordinate with any theme or color! Happy Decorating!

This was another fun order we had right before the holiday rush. It was for a surprise 25th anniversary for two lawyers. The client (their sister/ sister in law) wanted something fun and unique, so we decided to do a cupcake tower with cupcakes that had the balance scale and their initials on them in classic vanilla and chocolate flavors. But why no picture of the tower you ask. As an added challenge, the cupcake tower had to travel to Philadelphia. Since that is out of our delivery area, we came up with an idea. Our client was willing to pick it up from us and assemble it on site. So we were able to give them the cupcakes and the decorated tower (with pretty silver ribbon, which of course i forgot to take a picture of…lol) and it was fabulous. We’re still waiting on a picture of the completed tower, but i am happy to report it was a hit!

Happy Hanukkah! The festival of lights! These are some of the fun Hanukkah treats we’ve made in the past. So far they’ve been yummy gifts for my husbands family, but we’re hoping to be able to incorporate more fun Hanukkah goodies into our winter line for next year! So definitely email us or leave a comment if you have any suggestions or fun Hanukkah things you’d like to see us offer.
Seen here are (from top to bottom) personalized Hanukkah sugar cookies, large Hanukkah double decker brownie, and mini Hanukkah cupcakes, And yes, the menorah above is short one candle…lol. I guess that’s what happens when you decorate cookies at 3 in the morning…lol. Happy Hanukkah!

Bat cupcakes flew in just in time for Halloween! These were made by special request for my niece who knows her sweets! Decadent chocolate cupcakes with colored vanilla frosting, and covered with matching sugar. The wings and mouth are made of dark chocolate, the eyes are large confetti sprinkles, and the teeth are made of white chocolate. So good you’ll want to sink your teeth into them!

Where did the summer go? It seems like only a few weeks ago it was June. Alas, so as a tribute to the end of summer, may I present hamburger cupcakes. This idea has been around for a while, and i had been dying to try them. So i made them as a treat for a family vacation, a convenient excuse to play in the ktichen…hehe….and everyone loved them. They look almost too cute to eat!
The bun is a vanilla cupcake, the burger is a brownie, and the ketchup, mustard, and lettuce are different colored icings. And topped off with real sesame seeds on top to give it the authentic burger look. Also, you can’t have a burger without fries. So on the side we have sugar cookie french fries. I’ve found they are just as addicting as the real ones. So go out, and enjoy the last few days of summer with yummy desserts!

Fun desserts for a NJ bridal Shower! The highlight was a cupcake tower made of vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, with icing to match the colors of the shower. The little discs on top are made of gumpaste and then royal icing initials were piped on each for the bride and grooom to be. We also made a brownie tray with decadent peanut butter and mint brownies, and a tray of white chocolate cranberry oatmeal cookies.
